ARTECLASICA 08, for the first time in pavilions 1 and 2 plus a large central hall of the Costa Salguero Convention Center, was held on a space of more than 10,000 m2 where more than 100 booths of art galleries, art dealers, cultural institutions and especialized media could show their works.

The 5th. edition of ARTECLASICA contributed with new and outstanding projects like the Landmark Installation which started showing the work of the Ecuatorian artist Isabel Espinoza, a large scale installation of 64 m2 by 5 m high located at the entrance of the Fair.

With almost 40,000 visitors in 6 days, the Fair continued with its remarkable commercial tendency at the moment of sales. Companies like OSRAM Argentina, Grupo Clarin and Ñ magazine, had been present with important booths for the promotion of contemporary Argentine artists. "Ciudad Mignone", the beneficial institutional project for this edition of ARTECLASICA, displayed 20 doll houses treated by artists which have been sold to benefit the Hospital Pedro de Elizalde, ex "Casa Cuna".

With proven success, ARTECLASICA has been transformed into one of the most important art event of our country and has called the interest of foreign exhibitors that want to be part of the pluralist project of the Fair in Argentina.
